Shoumei is the leafier grade of white tea, and it is the grade that ages most dramatically. Pressed into a 350 g cake in 2020 and stored dry in Fuding since, this tea has gone from green and brisk to something closer to a light oolong: dark honey, dried jujube, warm cedar and a syrupy, almost oily texture.
Break the cake with a pick rather than a knife, use 6–7 g, and give it boiling water — aged white tea wants heat. It will keep improving for another decade.

We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.
Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.
Card details are entered on our checkout and transmitted directly to the payment provider over TLS. They are never written to our database — we only keep the card brand and the last four digits so you can recognise the charge on your statement. All prices are in CAD.
