Tieguanyin Iron Goddess
Anxi · light roast, orchid aroma
Tight jade-green pellets that open into a buttery, orchid-scented cup with a long, floral sweetness.
Tieguanyin is rolled into dense pellets that rattle in the tin and unfurl into whole, thick leaves in the gaiwan. Our lot is a spring pick from Xiping, lightly oxidised and only barely roasted, which is the modern “jade” style: the aroma is all orchid and gardenia, the body is buttery and thick, and the finish hums with sweetness for minutes.
This is the oolong to pour for a sceptic. Nothing about it is difficult, and it will give seven or eight infusions from a single 5 g measure — one of the best value teas in the shop measured per cup.

We dispatch within 48 hours of your order, from our warehouse in China, with tracking on every parcel.
We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.
Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.
Card details are entered on our checkout and transmitted directly to the payment provider over TLS. They are never written to our database — we only keep the card brand and the last four digits so you can recognise the charge on your statement. All prices are in CAD.
