Ya Shi Xiang
Almond Aroma Dan Cong
Famously mis-named (“Duck Shit Aroma”): the cup is pure almond, marzipan and cream over a floral spine.
The name is a legend — a farmer supposedly hid his best bush from tax collectors by giving it an ugly name. What matters is the cup: sweet almond, marzipan, warm cream, and underneath it the same orchid-and-stone-fruit spine that runs through all great Dan Cong.
If Mi Lan Xiang is the extrovert, Ya Shi Xiang is the quieter, more textural tea: less perfume, more body, a slightly oily mouthfeel and a very long sweet aftertaste.

We dispatch within 48 hours of your order, from our warehouse in China, with tracking on every parcel.
We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.
Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.
Card details are entered on our checkout and transmitted directly to the payment provider over TLS. They are never written to our database — we only keep the card brand and the last four digits so you can recognise the charge on your statement. All prices are in CAD.
