Small elongated beads strung on their length, so the strand reads as woven rather than strung. Blue lace agate is banded chalcedony from a single area of Namibia, and the banding is fine enough to look like lace — pale blue over white, in concentric rings.

Blue lace agate is banded chalcedony from a single area of Namibia, and the banding is fine enough to look like lace — pale blue over white, in concentric rings. It is translucent in thin sections and almost opaque in thick ones, which is why a small bead looks deeper in colour than a large one from the same nodule.

Small, elongated beads, named for the shape, strung on their length so they line up in fine parallel rows. Rice beads need more of them and more drilling per centimetre than any other shape, which is the work you are paying for; the effect is a strand that looks woven rather than strung.

One larger bead at the centre of the wrist, with everything else stepped down from it. The centrepiece is the piece you are buying and the rest of the strand exists to frame it, which is why a single replacement bead is the hard part of repairing one.

Sizing: the strand is strung on a doubled elastic core with a knotted finish, and it is made in three lengths — a snug 16 cm, the standard 18 cm, and a loose 20 cm. Beads are graded by hand before stringing, so the strand you receive is matched for size and tone from the first bead to the last. Every bracelet is strung to order in small numbers; if you would like the exact strand photographed before it ships, ask and we will send you the picture.

Care: Softer and more porous than quartz. Keep it out of prolonged water and away from dyes.

We will photograph the piece in stock, with its weight and measurements, before you buy — write to us with the SKU.

We dispatch within 48 hours of your order, from our warehouse in China, with tracking on every parcel.

We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.

Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.

Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.

Card details are entered on our checkout and transmitted directly to the payment provider over TLS. They are never written to our database — we only keep the card brand and the last four digits so you can recognise the charge on your statement. All prices are in CAD.
