Peach wood has been carved in China for at least two thousand years, traditionally into small protective pieces, and the wood itself is close-grained, pale and takes a carving well. It darkens to a warm honey with handling, which is the reason a strand looks better after a year than on the day it arrives.

A wide, shallow disc, close to a coin but thicker and with a rounded edge. Rondelles sit against each other with almost no gap, so a strand made of them hangs as a continuous band rather than as a row of separate beads.

Two sizes or two tones alternate the whole way round, which changes how the strand reads at a distance — a repeating rhythm rather than a single colour. It needs twice the bead sorting of a plain strand and leaves no room for a filler bead.

Sizing: the strand is strung on a doubled elastic core with a knotted finish, and it is made in three lengths — a snug 16 cm, the standard 18 cm, and a loose 20 cm. Beads are graded by hand before stringing, so the strand you receive is matched for size and tone from the first bead to the last. Every bracelet is strung to order in small numbers; if you would like the exact strand photographed before it ships, ask and we will send you the picture.

We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.

Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
