Rose quartz takes its pink from traces of titanium, iron or manganese, and the colour is famously unstable: almost all of it fades in strong sunlight, some of it within a season. The deeper beads come from the core of the crystal, where the colouring is densest, and they hold better than the pale outer material.

Each bead is ground with flat facets around its circumference, cut by hand on a lap. Faceting costs more work than any other shape here and it earns it on a translucent stone, where the flat planes catch and return light that a smooth bead would pass straight through.

The strand is built in three repeating sections, divided by small spacers, so it reads as three bracelets stacked rather than one. It needs the beads sorted into three matched groups before anything is strung.

Sizing: the strand is strung on a doubled elastic core with a knotted finish, and it is made in three lengths — a snug 16 cm, the standard 18 cm, and a loose 20 cm. Beads are graded by hand before stringing, so the strand you receive is matched for size and tone from the first bead to the last. Every bracelet is strung to order in small numbers; if you would like the exact strand photographed before it ships, ask and we will send you the picture.

We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.

Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.

Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
