Wild Chrysanthemum
Wild-grown · smaller flower, sharper cup
Smaller, sharper and deliberately bitter: the flower the Chinese reach for at the first sign of a cold.
Wild chrysanthemum is smaller, uglier and considerably more bitter than the cultivated Tai Ju, and it is drunk for that bitterness rather than despite it — it is the tea the Chinese reach for at the start of a cold. Steep it shorter than the cultivated flower or it will take the roof off your mouth.
Chrysanthemum Tai Ju itself comes from Hangzhou, Zhejiang, grown as tai ju chrysanthemum, whole flower heads, at 50 m. This lot is that same tea, handled and graded as described above — the leaf, the mountain and the maker do not change, only the picking window and the price.

We dispatch within 48 hours of your order, from our warehouse in China, with tracking on every parcel.
We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.
Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.
Card details are entered on our checkout and transmitted directly to the payment provider over TLS. They are never written to our database — we only keep the card brand and the last four digits so you can recognise the charge on your statement. All prices are in CAD.
