Jin Jun Mei was created in Tongmu in 2005 as an answer to the question: what would this village’s tea taste like without the smoke? The answer is one of the most sought-after black teas in China — all buds, fully oxidised, finished with a low charcoal bake instead of pine smoke.
It tastes unlike any other black tea: lychee and rose at first, then honey, then a light cocoa note, with a body that is silky rather than heavy. Because it is all bud, it is also unusually generous — six or seven infusions from 5 g.

We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.
Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.
Card details are entered on our checkout and transmitted directly to the payment provider over TLS. They are never written to our database — we only keep the card brand and the last four digits so you can recognise the charge on your statement. All prices are in CAD.
