Keemun was, for a century, the tea China sold to the world under its own name — the base of English Breakfast blends at their best. Hao Ya is the top grade: fine, wiry, slightly grey leaves that brew a clear wine-red cup.

It is subtler than Yunnan and more complex than most: cocoa and dried plum first, then a distinct orchid aroma, then a restrained smokiness left over from the basket firing. Elegant rather than powerful, and wonderful in the late afternoon.

We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.

Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.

Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.
