Rou Gui — "cinnamon" — is the youngest of the famous Wuyi bushes and one of the Four Famous Bushes, prized for a warm spice note that is genuinely in the leaf rather than added. Grown in the cliff soil of the inner gorges it carries a mineral spine under the spice that the same bush grown on flat ground simply does not have.

Da Hong Pao itself comes from Wuyi Mountains, Fujian, grown as blend of qi dan and bei dou, at 450 m. This lot is that same tea, handled and graded as described above — the leaf, the mountain and the maker do not change, only the picking window and the price.

We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.

Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.

Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
