Menghai 7572 Style
Ripe (shou) cake · 357 g
The everyday ripe pu-erh benchmark: dark, smooth and earthy, with date, cocoa and forest floor, and no bitterness at all.
7572 is the recipe code of the tea that taught China to drink ripe pu-erh, and this is our homage: a blend of 2019–2021 Menghai leaf, pile-fermented to completion and pressed into a 357 g cake in 2022.
Ripe pu-erh is the most forgiving tea in the world. It cannot go bitter, it loves boiling water, and it steeps past a dozen infusions. The flavour is dark and rounded: dried date, cocoa, damp forest, a touch of camphor rising at the back of the throat. In Guangzhou it is drunk all day with dim sum, and for good reason — it cuts through fat better than anything else.

We dispatch within 48 hours of your order, from our warehouse in China, with tracking on every parcel.
We do not quote a delivery date. Once a parcel leaves us it is carried by an international courier and cleared by customs in your country, and a date we cannot control is a date we will not promise. The tracking number, which you get when the label is created, shows every scan to your door.
Shipping is complimentary on orders over CAD 79.00$; below that a flat CAD 9.50$ applies. HST (13%) is calculated at checkout. Duties and import taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
Unopened tins can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. If a tea is not to your taste, tell us — we would rather send you something you like than keep the money.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and China UnionPay through our payment provider's local card gateway, protected by 3-D Secure 2 authentication. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in your banking app or with a one-time code.
Card details are entered on our checkout and transmitted directly to the payment provider over TLS. They are never written to our database — we only keep the card brand and the last four digits so you can recognise the charge on your statement. All prices are in CAD.
